ATHENS
Ask any Bulldog or Athenian and they’ll tell you that Athens, GA is one of the quintessential college towns in the United States! Athens boasts a very active live music scene (Athens is home to R.E.M., the B-52s, and Widespread Panic to name a few), a picturesque campus setting, fantastic restaurants and a very lively night-life. The
downtown area of Athens, which is about six blocks long and four blocks
deep, is a great (and eclectic!) collection of restaurants, bars, coffee
shops and boutiques. There is something for everyone in our little town.
The downtown area is directly adjacent to the main quadrangle on campus
and easily accessible from the conference hotel. Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express
The Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express have graciously agreed to serve as our conference hotel. These hotels were selected largely based on their proximity to the downtown area and the UGA campus. Both hotels have offered us reduced room rates. The following rates are per room and have a maximum occupancy of four guests: Holiday Inn Express- $69 per night If you would like to take advantage of the reduced rates you must make your reservation on or before March 2, 2005. Click here to book online now! There are other properties in the Athens area that may offer a less expensive rate, but the Holiday Inn offers the best proximity to take advantage of all that UGA and downtown Athens have to offer.
