2000- present University of Georgia, Athens, GA. Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium. Duties include private instruction of applied music, conducting UGA tuba-euphonium ensemble, coaching chamber music, and performing in the Georgia Brass Quintet and the Georgia Brass. Provides additional service to the School of Music as an academic advisor for undergraduate students and as a faculty member of the High School Summer Music Workshop.
1997-2000 Illinois State University, Normal, IL. Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium. Duties included private instruction of applied
music, classroom instruction of brass methods and pedagogy, performance in the
faculty brass quintet, studio recruitment, chamber music coaching, and
conducting tuba-euphonium ensemble. Additional service to the music department
through service on scholarship committee and NASM program review team.

1991-1993 Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium. Duties included private instruction of applied music, development of a low brass curriculum and student recruitment. Conducted brass master classes for summer honors institute.
2002- present Greenville Symphony
Orchestra, Greenville, SC. Principal Tubist.
2000- present The New Sousa Band.
Tubist with the band conducted by Keith Brion, internationally famous Sousa
scholar and authority. Band is composed of pre-eminent players from throughout
the United States. Performances in Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and
Minnesota.
1989-1997 The United
States Army Band (Pershing's Own), Washington, DC. Served as a tubist in the Ceremonial
Band. Duties included performances for
the President of the United States, foreign heads of state, and visiting
dignitaries. Featured soloist with the Concert Band, Brass Band and Symphony
Orchestra.
1986-1989 The United
States Army Field Band, Washington, DC. Featured Tuba soloist with the Concert Band, working directly
with the Army's Chief of Public Affairs representing the Department of the Army
and the Department of State on diplomatic and public relations tours of all
fifty states, Canada, Mexico, Korea, Japan, Germany and India. Conducted
lecture/clinics for high school and college students across the US.

1983-1997 The
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore MD. First call substitute and extra tubist. Performed on a Telarc
recording of works of Berlioz.
Performed on critically acclaimed concert tour of the US as second
tubist in March 1990. Performances in Carnegie Hall (New York), Orchestra Hall (Chicago) and Joseph Meyerhoff
Symphony Hall (Baltimore).
1990-1997 The National
Symphony Orchestra, Washington, DC.
Substitute and extra tubist. Performed on a Teldec recording of
Shostakovich Symphony #4 and on the Grammy Award winning BMG recording of
Corigliano Symphony #1. Performed on a
critically acclaimed tour of the northeastern U.S. as second tubist in March
1997. Performances at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall (New York), Symphony
Hall (Boston), and Wolf Trap Farm Park. Performances with the National Symphony
Brass Quintet.
1990-1997 The John F.
Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, Washington, DC. First call substitute tubist. Performances with the Joffrey Ballet, New
York City Opera, and Washington Opera.
1993-1997 Washington
Symphonic Brass and Percussion Ensemble, Washington, DC. Solo Tubist.
Ensemble is modeled after Summit Brass and comprised of the top freelance
performers in the Metropolitan area.
Elected member of the board of directors.
1991-1993 The Richmond
Symphony Orchestra, Richmond, VA. Interim Principal tubist. Performed
extensively with the symphony brass quintet in educational programs throughout
central Virginia.
1992- Present Guest Recitalist. Performed solo recital and lecture
recital at the 2002 International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Greensboro, NC.
Performed solo recital at 2000 International Tuba Euphonium Conference in
Regina, Saskatchewan. Solo recitals at Indiana University, Northwestern
University, Illinois State University, Central Michigan University, James
Madison University, Towson State University and Virginia Commonwealth
University. Chamber music recitals at Mercer University, Valdosta State
University, and St. Norbert College.
Extensive
orchestral and chamber music freelance performances throughout the United
States.
2002 Served as competition coordinator for the Young Artist Solo Competition at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Greensboro, NC.
2002 Served as an invited juror for the 2002 Leonard Falcone Competition in Whitehall, MI.
2000 Served as an invited juror for three competitions at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Regina, Saskatchewan. Judged the Artist Euphonium Solo Competition, the Young Artist Tuba Competition, and the Arnold Jacobs Mock Orchestral Audition Competition.

Named
“Research Initiative Award” winner from the College of Fine Arts at Illinois
State University for outstanding achievement in research and performance.

First Prize Winner
of the Peabody Concours. Solo recital competition open to all conservatory
students. Only brass player in conservatory history to win first prize.
